How our service works and what to expect.
Free Survey and inspection.
Before we undertake any work we will visit your home at an arranged time to complete a thorough survey of your treasured rug.
During the survey we will make notes and take photographs of the rug, this is partly to record any damage currently shown also to manage your expectations giving you a free honest appraisal of the likely results. We will then take measurements and give you our best price to thoroughly clean your rug.
Once we have carried out this Free survey and inspection we will give you a firm quote of cost, once you have decided to go ahead or not we will either take the rug and leave you a receipt or simply thank you for your time and politely leave.
The Cleaning process.
Once in the rug cleaning plant, your rug is laid out and tested for colour fastness and also for anything that may have been missed during the on site survey.
If we find lose dyes we will set them using an acidic rinse, once the test area has dried it is gently rolled out face down onto a grid and a machine is passed over the back to dislodge any larger dust particles that vacuuming cannot get out.
When we have back dusted as much as we can from the rug, it is then laid flat on to a cleaning platform and flooded with cold water. A Ph Neutral specialist rug shampoo is then sprayed onto the rug and the massaged into the fibres to ensure even and deep cleaning.
Water is then flushed through the rug, until it runs clear. At this point we know everything has been flushed out of the rug and we are ready for the next stage.
The drying process.
Laid flat a roller is used to squeegee the water from the pile, then it is rolled up and put into a spinner.
The spinner extracts more water, sometimes for extra treatments sometimes more water is passed through the system to rinse more thoroughly.
The rug is then hung up to dry in an enclosed area with air movers and de-humidifiers, it will hang there for several days and be checked on regularly.
Final inspection and return.
Once out of the rug drying room, the rug is laid out and inspected, if at this point it is felt that the result is not up to standard the rug will go through the process again either partly or all of it.
We will call you and arrange to return the rug, usually between 2 and three weeks from pick up.
Back at your property we will roll the rug back out and groom it for your inspection.
If everything is ok we will give you your invoice and a bottle of rug spotter.
We Guarantee our work and offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
